Annual Job Market Conference

We recently hosted our second annual Job Market Conference at GW, where our PhD students intending to graduate in the coming year have the opportunity to receive early feedback on their job market paper and job market presentation. This year, we had three outstanding presentations, by Vitaliy Novik, Friederike Langowski, and Jingwen Zheng on a diverse set of interesting topics. Faculty in the audience engaged enthusiastically with the presenters, sharing their own experiences being a job market candidate or hirer, while students in the audience got a valuable early peek at what a job talk looks like. Now this is an annual departmental tradition, we look forward to next year’s conference!
